Photos from Alaska '09

Back home from camping/kayaking/ATVing/hiking in Alaska the past 10 days, but work shipped me right out to Madison for two weeks on a new project. I have >1000 photos to go through, but in the mean-time here are a few.

View from our campsite along the Chena River for a few days ago. Photo was taken just after midnight ~50 miles south of the Artic Circle.

Our lunch spot at 2500' in the White Mountain Recreation Area; about 20 miles by ATV north of Steese Hwy through multiple types of terrain.

ATV'ing along the Alaskan Pipeline to go hike Donnelly Dome, seen in the distance.

Us at the Summit of Donnelly Dome (3800').

Behind Fort Greely, with a view of Mt. Kimball in the eastern section of the Alsakan Range.

Picking wild Alaskan blueberries found on the trip back to the base.

That is amazing. I dream about a camping spot like that.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Nice pictures. I miss wild blueberries, probably the best berries I've ever had.

HAHA, good eye Ian. That sweat-mark is from a Slingshot AW100, which unfortunately is starting to show it's wear after a couple years of constant use, the main zipper is starting to fall apart. I bought my brother a 200 for his Canon rig, they are great bags otherwise.

Damn Jeff, those are some nice pics. I LOVE Alaska, the most beautiful land I've ever seen.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
