Need advice on a new camera

I have a Canon SD300 right now, 4megapix resolution. I love this camera, it's small enough so I can take pics with one hand. It's also pretty tough, I've taken it on all my climbs and backpacking trips.

However I want something with better resolution so I can print and blow up my photos.

Could you photo gurus recommend a camera for me?

Preferences:

Point and shoot
10 megapixels
Metal body (or other material, but it must be tough)
Canon is prefered because I'm used to them but I'd go with another brand if you can convince me.
Under $450

Gracias!
