Camera battery question

Hey Photogs I have a question. I got a Canon D10 for Christmas and it came w with the NB-6L battery. It's the same size as the batteries from my old Canon, which are NB-4L models. My question: Can I use the older batteries in my new camera?

Believe the only difference is the mAh.
the 4L is 760 mAh
and the 6L is 1000mAh
both 3.7v lipo single cell
more shots from the 6L but the 4L should work as long as it is physically the some size.

Pop it in and try it out worse case is the camera wont turn on

go time traveler style and go back in time, fuck his grandma, then shoot forward in time and then fuck his mom. Then return back to present state and call him a the product of two incest whores and hes your son and show video of you plowing the both members of his family. .

If Canon designed then to use the exact same form-factor then they shouldn't be damaging to each other. Battery life would be the main difference based on the value quoted above.

Cool, thanks for the info. They are the same size, the contacts are in the same spot, too.

the voltage looks to be the same (3.7v) with the difference being the storage capacity.

as long as the terminals line up and it's the same size, it will likely work.

If there is no voltage difference than you can use that older battery to your new Canon D10 camera,But if there is major difference in voltage you can not use.

I switch batteries around in the Nikons all the time, no problems.
