Trader Joe's

Any one shop there. Everyone around the office hypes this place up so much. I read through some of their flyers that I got in the mail and I do not get it. Is it worth checking out in person?

I think their butcher counters are great and good quality. The pricing seemed to be decent as well, except for the rest of the store which is way overpriced. The only thing I ever used the store for was beef and pork at the counter, big selection too.

Oh, they do have some things I couldn't find anywhere else. One thing I remember was a spice or herb I was looking for.

Think smaller and cheaper Whole Foods. Just like Whole Foods, they have a ton of unhealthy stuff such as prepared or processed items that are loaded with sodium so just watch what you buy, if you aren't already.

I buy a case of two buck chuck every time I go. Best cheap every day wine out there. Sometimes, when nobody is looking, I drink a bottle like it's a 40 oz to wash down a cigar.

Shelves are definitely limited, butcher case is not.

The whole point of the store is limited selection and low prices. I save money when I go and it makes it easier because there is no real selection, pretty much one of each. That being said, I don't shop there often because of the limited selection. Haven't visited the butcher there. I will have to check that out next time.

That wine is just Franzia out of a box. Literally, Franzia owns it and it comes from the same winery.

I get 95% of my groceries from one of two Trader Joes near me.

Here's the deal, I hate too many choices. Large supermarkets carry 36 varieties of the same fucking thing and it's overkill. TJ's has one quality selection for each item. I can do all my shopping in a short visit with no list. I hate roaming around Meijer or Jewel looking for that one bottle of something they keep moving around.
