Speaking of wine...

There is a very little known, but AMAZING winery right in Roselle called Lynfred. I am a big fan and have been a member of their wine club for years. They have won some very prestigous awards.

I would be up for arranging a wine tasting party if anyone is interested?

http://www.lynfredwinery.com/

Depending on the wine tasting it can be as inexpensive as $9 a person (for just wines) to $25 for pairings of hors d'oeuvres with wines.

Check out the site...if possibly interested post up! I've done these before and these are fun events!

Great place. There is also a little wine shop near there that has tastings called "Vine Tastings". It's literally right around the corner.

Sounds like good fun!

The Chicago Porsche club did some small shows there a few years back. It looked like a nice place, but we didn't sample any of the wines.

I'm up for a tasting!

So I spoke to my friend Rosemary at Lynfred and with the holiday season approaching they have stopped doing group tours and tastngs in the cellar. They will resume in January.

So this is what she has to offer us. Come January we can do a weekend tasting and tour with cheese and bread for $12 during the day (we must start no later than 5pm) or $25 after 5 pm. This sounded pretty good to me since there's not a whole lot going on for most of us in January. How does this sound? If this sound good to everyone I will get it planned.

I'm up for it, especially since it is close to the Metra station.
