Rick's Awesome Martini

I have really hated the concept of the "dry" martini, which is basically drinking chilled gin with olives or a twist of lemon. I have tried every combination of martinis.....sorry ladies...chocolate martinis and all those other ghey martinis are just foo-foo drinks and don't count! Actually vodka martinis are lame ass too, if I want to drink vodka it will be like our Russian comrades, neat! So without further ado here is the recipe and instructions for RAM (Rick's Awesome Martini)

One bottle of high quality gin...I like Hendrick's...posers like Bombay Sapphire
One bottle of Extra Dry Vermouth...there is only one! Martini & Rossi FTW
One old fashion glass...if you have to ask...go away, your a poser
One bottle of olives, you can use the ones with pimientos, I use the ones stuffed with either anchovies or hot peppers...onions are for posers
Ice cubes
A toothpick....flat, the coloured round ones can be used if your a girl or ghey.

Method:

Fill the old fashion glass with ice, splash the extra dry vermouth over the ice....and I mean a splash! Don't Fuck it up by drowning the ice cubes, you want the ice coated with vermouth, not swimming in it! Spear 3 olives on your flat tooth pick, lay carefully on the ice cubes in the glass. Splash some olive juice over the olives and cubes, once again splash! Don't PM me for a measurement or description of a splash, I'll tell you to F__K off! Then fill the glass with gin, careful take the speared olives and stir clockwise 3 time, just 3! anymore you are a ghey poser Drink on an empty stomach after working ten, 16 hour days, then post on CLSB.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Congratulations, you just invented the dirty martini!

One question, why would anyone make martini with vodka?

I prefer dry vodka martinis. I can't stand gin either. I have to use GOOD vodka. Bad vodka makes for a bad martini.

Rick, that sounds like a damn good martini. I prefer no olives, just a splash of the juice. Anyone want the olives out of mine?

Let's completely bastardize this martini.

Instead of olives let's do onions we already have people with vodka.

Nope, no onions either. I can't stand the fact that olives look like eyeballs. I don't want my drink looking back at me. I didn't sub anything, I just left out the olives. And I would gladly take them and offer them to a fellow drinker. I don't want to offend the bartender.

Stuff those olives with bleu cheese and I'll be a happy camper. And I like Bombay Sapphire, so that makes me a poser and I don't care

I love gin! Yeah, sounds like a typical dirty martini. Hendricks is good stuff.

Olives stuffed w/ jalapeños or garlic are another good option

Nothing like a hot summer day and a big glass of Gin on the rocks with a Lemon Wedge.

I think I read some place that if you run cheap vodka thru a brita 4 times it works just fine. Found the article

i filtered some bottom shelf vodka 7 times...still had that cheap vodka smell, but was definitely a lot smoother and was fine for mixing. I still wouldn't recommend it for martini use or drinking neat/OTR.
