BanditCPA invest 20 bucks on an IL gazetter book at walmart or any discount dept store (red covered atlas of every state road (including back roads) about 30 pages covering all townships.

CRAZe Inc I know an awesome back way to Champaign, but I'd have to dig up some directions.

The only problem is I got nabbed by a Livingston County Sherrif the last time I was coming home from a Bears game for doing 31 over. First time I saw a cop on the backroads and I got caught big time. You can easily do 90+ on these roads, but now I'm not too sure about speeding on them anymore.

GPzPilot I grew up in the South 'burbs and it was 114 miles door to door for me in Champaign. My personal best was 1 hour and 20 minutes for what was routinely a 2 hour drive. I was following a guy with a radar detector.

Another quick drive was when I fell into a convoy of about 15 cars behind an unmarked cop. He kicked our group's speed up to about 90mph and held it there for a good 20 miles. At one point he began tapping brakes and slowed the convoy down to a reasonable 65mph. About a mile later we all passed an unmarked in the median. About a mile later he kicked it back up to about 90mph. Drove that speed for another 10 miles or so before he took an offramp. Going home for dinner would be my guess. to that cop. Way cool!
