Abe_Froman Larry Pegram got a podium at Road America, Superbike race 2 in 2003. I think he was a privateer, DTR Ducati?

Nick, you've got to decide on a class...LOL! 750 Supersport, which eventually became "Superstock" was the privateer class. Robbie Jensen got a second there someplace. Pro Thunder was more of a privateer class.

Superbike, that was Dale in 1993. He finished second in the championship that year too. He was tall, 6'2" or 6'3", and he weighed a good 190. Was nice if we were swapping motors, he could straddle the frame, pick up the motor, and we could put in the motor mount bolts.
I want to try my hand in ASRA Thunderbike this year. It should be interesting to say the least. Slowass financing has to approve the request.

And only weighed about 65 lbs. Good weight to power ratio

Mid-Ohio was the site of the last privateer victory in AMA Superbike. Privateer Dale Quarterley won Mid-Ohio in 1993 on a Kawasaki.

Chunk Todd Harrington won a 600SS at Road America but not sure what year it was.

Also remember that 750 was mostly privateers for a quite some time so alot of privateers have won that.

Dale Quarterly won a AMA superbike race as a privateer. Again, not sure of the year.

And most recently, I thought Greenwood or one of them eastcoast guys won a support race where all the factory boys decided to sit out due to the track conditions at Loudon.

Privateer Winning a Road Race???

When was the last time a privateer actually won an AMA road race or podium for that matter? Who was it? What year?
