Friday - Lost over $1.3M list in business - With discounts, $738K in Rev and $132K in Margin

Monday - Lost $498K in List - With Discounts, $278K in Rev and $78K in Margin

I don't even want to tally what my commission would have been

Thank god I am bangin a hot 26 yr old 5'8 brunette chika or I would be drawing a warm bath, eating a fist fill of pain pills and drinkin a bottle of Jack with some Air Supply playing in the background

Thats the thing T - I have been doing post mortome (sp) on these and followed everything by the book and am not sure what I could have done differently - You can see the discounts I gave and my Engineers crafted Grade A+ Enterprise Architecture for both - Bottom line, they both cheeped on technology with outdated gear and performance standards - Sub Par to say the least - They say they want the best and have the money for it then KAH-BLAMO, out of no where - Fuck Me !!!!

You just never know what forces there are at play on the other side, bro. I'm seeing it from that other side now - talked to a couple of vendors about the software for automated performance and functional testing for our client and it wasn't huge but still something around 100K after discounts. It was all nice and smooth and no pressure and basically all text book because I've researched the stuff in advance and basically did sales guys' job, but then someone at the client's side decided to consider IBM. :redcreep: (which is absolute crap). So-o-o-o, it's been several weeks already, and several rounds of meetings and there's still no decision. :banghead:. And I feel bad for the sales guys that did the presentation for me and got the technical details clarified / questions answered, but all I can tell them right now is "give it some more time". Basically, in some cases, it doesn't matter how good or bad you are. It just isn't going to happen. Move on.

This is what I keep telling myself and thanks Bro - Is good to hear about this from the other side - That does make me feel better

UD - I have a 10:00 am and a 1:00 pm appt tomorrow - Can't afford to get boozed and be hung over tomorrow - Still have plenty of other stuff going on but these were my (2) biggies - Always have to have a few elephants in sight when you are hunting prairie dogs too

Okay, I am VERY superstitious - I just fired up backgammon on my Mac and played the chick as the guy is harder to beat and plays MUCH more aggressive - I said, "If I win, it will all work out and I'll find a way to make up for this lost $$, if I lose, well, it just shows....." - Crushed 'em - Had the game one and he still had 5 pieces to get in home court - I need to get off this computer for a while - I am losing it
 
When I left work this morning I saw over one hundred engines stored. The average loco cost 1.4 million. We don't have the size and amount of trains we usually have, so to save the warranty, they put them in storage. I can say buisness is picking up, so hopefully this will all turn around by the end of the year. Bug, a little moto therapy is in order. I have considered borrowing my buddies Road King just to feel normal again.

Dave - Thx mate - I am just beside myself trying to figure what/if I need to re-learn this game - I have been successful in this shit for over 14 yrs but maybe this old hound needs new trix? - I lose deals all the time as it is part of the game but my two biggies back to back are haunting me
 
I know that game. I've had a number of middle 5 figure and low 6 figure cases blow up lately. Business sucks for the last 6 months so after 28 years of sales, I'm finally getting "formalized training". I've started working with Sandler. They have a pretty interesting approach and a couple of my partners have used them with success. The sales are out there, you just need to work harder/smarter than the other guy. I figured, I'm my own best asset and I can't be hurt by working on myself. The initial personality profiles and analysis have been... interesting. I'm off the charts on a lot of good points and activities, but really suck at a few items. i.e. my supervisory skills are non-existent so of course I manage myself and others... Uggg. They already came back and said just to hire an office manager for $50-60k plus bonus and focus on me. The time I waste trying to manage others, is better spent on me and in building my personal business. My coach thinks I can double to triple my income in just a couple years if I do that and work a little sharper. That is just too easy...

These poor fools just don't know what they are getting into in dealing with me. :laughing
