am i the only one who loved this bike?
I emailed Jesse Rooke about a few questions when I was building a GPz550 in this style. He emailed me back in about 15 minutes, explaining a bunch of stuff. Awesome guy. At the time I was going to put either a 955i or 883 HD engine in the GPz550. He told me he was working on this project with KTM, but I never saw the final product. Rep, I love the bike.

I wasn't in the mood for crowds and let Peanut drag me through the show. She was looking at gear more then bikes, mostly because there were just so many rude people not looking where they were going.

We both brought cameras, but didn't bust them out for a single shot because we were so tired of getting bumped around by people. I think we went throught he bikes so quickly, I didn't get to check out any of those Ducs or KTMs.

We did sign up for AMA though.

This one was THE SEXIEST!!!
But the Ducati area sucked. It was like a closet.

i concour, but i looked underneath the tail, and it looks like that whole black plastic thing comes off with teh mudflap and taillight.. would be sooo nice if the mudflap came off seperate, and you could just get an integrated taillight and some sort of plate mount

I think one of the nicest stock bikes out there was the white GSXR 600 that downforce just posted above. I think what i like most about it is the white rims. The bike reminds me of the Jordan Suzukis Had alot of fun and ran into ALOT of people. I didn't run into that many people until after teh stunt show. Good to see everyone. My kids had a blast hopping on all the bikes.

I liked the show. I think I'm in love with that white Gixxer600. Anyone tried on those Wiki helmets with transitioning visor. That was the lightest helmet I have ever tried on. Really thinking about picking one up. Also found out that I don't have the right head shape for Scorpion helmet, dissapointed :(

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hello. :)

I've heard a best pick up line/ice breaker ever.
Me: So how long have you been married?
Funny guy: Long enough to be with you.

I hate the motorcycle show. It makes me want and desire WAAAAYYYY too much! LOL I ended up spending alot more than I had planned, and didn't get what I was there for. I was "FORCED" into buying a 1pc Vanson leather suit. It will help me get to the track a month or two later than I planned. :( But I guess it will be worth it in the long run.

I also upped my AMA membership, and totaly oogled a girl in a black corset. ;) The only CLSB'er that I recognized was Jenya. Good to see you again Jenya!

One thing that I noticed, is that all the people wearing club colors. Every last one that I saw, their colors were brand spanking new! Hahaha I think I would rather wear old ratty colors, then everyone would know that I actualy ride with them.

Over all, it was a pretty good show.

I did a quick run thru while waiting for my brother to land at Ohare. I was really looking at the Dual Sports....Looks like a KLR650 is in my future:) Jammin wants to do Alaska this year and northern parts of Canada...the other brands were not a good fit and didn't "talk" to me. I basically grazed all the sport bikes...Ducati still makes the sexiest bikes....but my tastes have really changed over the last 3 years, I no longer look at the latest and greatest sportbikes with all the associated bling and find my blood boiling. Rather admire all that has gone into them, and move along to my interests, sport touring and (I really hate this next expression, because every ride should be an adventure) adventure riding. I keep trying to convince myself I should get a track bike, but deep down my heart is no longer into the track. That is what I like about the IMS shows, it brings a clarity to my mind about the riding I'll be finding myself involved in the near future. :)
