Gerald...Here's my :2cents: again.
Yes the bikes are really fun, but they will be running on a AM radio with only 6 possible frequencies. Not sure how Nikko changes their crystals. You may overlap frequencies when you finally get into a group.
2nd--at bike night, these are AM frequencies and are subject to incredible interference and run-aways can be common. Suggest having one person run the controls and the other take the bike in his or her hand and walk the area to be run. Run-aways can be dangerous because they can go towards cars and you will not be able to control the bike at all.
Not sure on the scale, but the bikes can be made to turn relatively tight with the proper throttle control and steering. They take time to master, that is why most people give them up and they become "shelf queens".
They make fail-safes that you can purchase at your local hobby store that connect in-between the battery hookup and the receiver and can be programmed to shut the bike off when and if this occurs.
PM me back if you need additional help.
so... here are the vids as promised, Id have more but the camera batteries died
these are on a fresh fully charged battery pack
steering is horrible
braking causes a skid generally ending in a nasty high side
the rear doesnt hook up in this cold, especially with gravel
definately not fast enough to hurt anything
and so much for chasing the cat indoors... turning radius is huge
bwhahaha :lmao: sorry pcohen+1, fun but awful to control. It's like watching PCohen on a motorcycle, you know he probably knows the controls but it's just awkward and painful to watch...
J/K man, you know I love you. Strange toy though. At least it crashes well.
