Hey all. This is Kevin, from the yzf600r board. Thank you for everything you did today and thank you all for allowing me into your family. It was very hard for me to speak to a room full of people I have never met, but I needed you and his family to know how much of an impact he had on my life.

We have a very large and tight group of riders in Sacramento and it was awesome to see how riders across the nation are connected. When I heard the squeaking of all motorcycle boots walk in.... Wow. I can't describe the feeling. CLSB is a great group from what I saw today, and with your permission, I would like to continue posting on here and building a relationship w everyone.

Thanks

Shit Bro, if you are still in town and want to ride tonight, I am in the City and you can roll on one of my bikes - Take your pic - SuMo or HD - We can roll out to one of our 36 different bike nights held weekly

I'm lost for words. I havent been on clsb in awhile and to read this post is very sad. I never met Ashwins but from the pics looks like he was a cool guy and got along with everyone. Prayers go out to his family and friends. R.I.P Brotha

That sounds so awesome and I would love to. I'm with Nelson (he spoke today) but we don't have any extra gear. Thank you for the offer. I will be back soon and it would be an honor to ride w you guys
I wish we met under different terms, but glad we have met. Our house is always open for bikers needing a place to crash. And my wife Mandy (piercedqt78) is a hella cook.

Bug, I have no idea how I landed Mandy. We met, I moved in a month later and simply never left.

Unfortunately I was unable to make it today due to work. As I was driving down 55 I did see a bunch of riders going the opposite direction and saw Ken and immediately remembered todays ride. Between all the people that went, the donations and the stickers etc... I am glad that I am part of this CLSB community.

I don't know if I am getting soft in my old age, if it's CLSB, or Ashwin... Maybe all.. maybe some of those things...

What I do know is it was rather hard to maintain respectful composure at the funeral of a person I had never met before in my life... Other than some characters on a screen...

I think in a way that speaks volumes about Ashwins character... and about how much this community pulls together when one of their own goes down or needs them.

I haven't been doing a lot of riding these last couple years... After losing a close friend of my own....

but what I saw today made me proud to be a member of this family.... Not just the CLSB family... but the Biker family

You never really know how it feels until afterward when it hits you the most. It surely hit as the day progressed.

As far as the stickers I was getting my own made when I saw those and asked if I could get a few since I was told someone (unknown who) had brought in a design to have made. Seems the individual was not happy with the design after xtremegraphics changed stuff from his original design and I was asked not to buy anymore from them. Ill let that member post up if they want to as I am hearing he has another design being done by dean. So I guess in short if you really want one that I had i can get some remade or you can wait on the other member to post up.

Thanks to all that helped organize and lead us to this celebration of a GREAT person's life.. Man it was tough for me as well to stand in there and not bust a tear, kinda glad I got lead to the other side of the room away from the group, so I could let the tears run down my face under my shades... CLSB, YZF, boards what great people. The family and all friends, now all we can do is live our lives with a bit of Ashwin's example in it.

The ride home alone for me was good, going down 355 & 55 to Joliet alone just pondering on what I had just learned about Ashwin and the impact that Ash had on so many people in such a short time here on this earth just makes you think and look at what have I done, or whom have I touched or what kind of circle of influence do I have.... To hear everyone speak of ASH in such a great manor was really touching and speaks volumes of who he and his family are as people... We are all blessed for Ashwin to have chosen us and our groups to join....

Thank you Ashwin, keep on eeye on us!!

The memorial service was AMAZING! So many kind words from SO MANY people from SO MANY places!!!!!!

I truely can't imagine having a better guardian angel, brother! Godspeed! You will truely be missed, but NEVER forgotten!!

Enjoy the ENDLESS twisties in the sky!!!!

I did my own little "SOLO TRIBUTE" to Ashwin on the way home, as I had to work. Made me feel better! Full Throttle run so he could hear the mighty PURR of the engine, some local twisties to let him get the lean on......

It was great to see everyone out there today, it is a true tribute to how great a man he was

Chuck, your words struck all our hearts today, thank you for speaking, not a single one of us could have none any more honor to Ashwin than you did.

Kevin, thank you as well for coming all the way out here and speaking. You will always be welcome here.
+1... I found out yesterday how unabsorbent/abbrasive on the face textile material is & I don't feel much better today.:mecry:

Although I didn't know him very well, I can tell he was a rare find & will always be remembered.:)

The CLSB/CR/2WC turnout was just amazing. The pictures only captured part of it. As an observer watching you all arrive in one big swarm, that was thrilling!

I was also able observe some of Ash's family who happened to be outside at the time of the mass arrival of bikes. The looks on their faces was indescribeable. It seemed more than just amazement or "oh wow". Perhaps it was their first full visual realization of how much Ash meant to our community? I can't put it in words adequately.
