they didnt trade him off. they totally fucked him over. They should have resigned him before his last year but they chose to hold out, then he won the cy young award, then he bailed cause cubs management tried to hose him.Cork said:

CUBS STILL SUCK. is it true there is nothing north of Madison. I heard the world ends at 35th street as far as baseball is concerned.
Have the Cubs been playing games over the winter and winning already? I'd be excited too if I were a cub fan but there are still plenty of holes in that team and the fact that they haven't had back to back winning seasons in like 33 years. You guys also have that "Goat" curse.

how did this turn into a cub bashing thread? come on guys, I was just excited about picking up a great pitcher. Should be a good season, and no matter who you are a fan of you have to admit that Maddux going to the cubs is MUCH better for baseball than the Yankees signing him.

Oh yeah... Tickets go on sale Feb 27th... Tickets will be limited to 4 ticks per game, and I think a max of 40 games. So, it doesn't do anything to camp out at the ballpark like it used to. Internet is where it's at! Get 'em before the brokers get their hands on them!
