I believe I heard on CNN that he later died.Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers say a highway that was buckled by the heat caused a motorcycle accident.
It happened Sunday afternoon just after 4 o'clock at mile marker 40 on Highway 412 in Pawnee County, OK.
Officers say Chason Lewis, 36, from Enid, OK, was driving his 2008 Honda CBR westbound when he hit a section of roadway that had buckled due to the heat.
The buckled road caused a two-foot ramp in the highway, launching the motorcycle airborne for 150 feet.
The driver skidded another 222 feet on the roadway.
Lewis was life flighted from the scene and admitted to a Tulsa hospital in stable condition with severe injuries.
The cause of the crash is listed as a defect in the roadway.

Majority of highways in OK have 75 speed limit. Assuming he was going only conservatively 10 mph over, he caught some serious air for sure...I could see 1.5 seconds of air time off that at 65mph. Not going to end well either. Ouch.
I think they are counting the bouncing-cartwheel the motorcycle likely did after ramping up that buckle at 75+I could see 1.5 seconds of air time off that at 65mph. Not going to end well either. Ouch.
I could imagine it is not that obvious unless you are looking at it at the angle that is pictured. How did he not see that? Unless they pop up in a split second he had to have seen that one coming. At least think something was up when the cars in front of him were swerving.

you always have a car doing surveillance in front of you?How did he not see that? Unless they pop up in a split second he had to have seen that one coming. At least think something was up when the cars in front of him were swerving.
150 feet isnt that far. I would guess he launched farther.2 foot ramp launched the rider 150 feet? That seems a little exaggerated. Sad story either way.
+1, considering some cars can barely stop 60-0 in 130 feet, slamming on the brakes.150 feet isnt that far. I would guess he launched farther.
