Who wants some ICS love?

Here's an overview of some of the new features in the latest iteration of the OS, introduced last night.

Pretty big day yesterday for the Android world... first the Motorola Razr weighing in as the thinnest smartphone on the market, then the Nexus Prime with Ice Cream Sandwich! There's also teasers for the Asus Transformer 2 tablet with the first Tegra 3 quad core CPU!

So you think our EVOs will run this? Will anyone bother porting it to the EVO?
The Cyanogen crew has already announced that CM9 will be ICS. They will be tackling it once the ICS source code is released.

Still waiting to mid Nov. to renew my contract so I can get a break on the phone cost, as of now looks like it is going to be the Samsung Galaxy S II. Sucks that T-mobile doesn't carry more Motorola offerings, only a handful.

I will be getting the GN on 2 presumptions, LTE and unlocked... or not Fort Knox locked.
LTE on Verizon is most probable... and it damn well BETTER be fucking unlocked. All other Google flagship devices have been.

I agree, it will likely be LTE on VZW (there were some doubts as recent as a few weeks ago). There is still some nervousness in the community about VZW and their lockdown policies but only time will tell. If it is unlocked or easily unlocked this is my DX replacement hands down.

If the 11/10 date holds we will all know in less than a month

\VZW = suckage with crap like that.

I already said it on fbook about the galaxy nexus.

And you understood every single one too.
Actually I didn't :laughing I haven't kept up on all these new developments because it's just getting way too complicated. I just want my shit to work and I'm happy. I am looking for a tablet before the end of the year though and your post about the quad core asus caught my attention.

Aye - I've been waiting to see what Tegra 3 (quad core) based tablets will be announced come Christmas time. I too, have been holding off on an Android tablet until a someone releases a solid tablet with BOTH a quad core CPU AND Ice Cream Sandwich. I view anything less as a waste.
