I know it was the 17th and 18th, but 04/04 refers to the MONTH and YEAR.... highspeed!

Ahar, that definitely makes more sense. My bad. So.. looka me haul ass on that video. Go me. Go.

Some help from a racer.
You can excelerate alot farther down the straights, try being smooth when releasing your clutch on down shifts, work on using more of the track, try not the chop the throttle so much, and try to get to maintenance throttle as you lean the bike into the corners.

Thanks, man. I always appreciate input. I didn't accelerate down the front straight as much because I needed new brakes. Since then I now have new lines and pads so I'll be getting on it more.

I'll work on the other things you suggested. tjpilot taped me at RA and it was humbling to watch. I know I need to use more of the track. I'm getting better at that.

Thanks again for the input. Anything that helps me be a better rider on the track is welcome. :D

and stay in a higher gear ;)
I keep it between 2nd and 3rd throughout most of the track. Sometimes I'll hit 4th on the front. I should be in a higher gear?

I've tried being in higher gears and I don't like letting my RPM's getting too low.... maybe I should just go faster...lol

An good way to learn to go fast around turn is to let off the brakes earilier and earilier. Some people may til you to brake later but all that does is make you brake harder.
That's something I know I need to do. Just let of the brakes earlier and then get on the gas. My transition from brake to power isn't as smooth as it should be.

Ken, yeah I did redline it a couple of times. That is a pretty rare occurance. It just so happened to do it while I was taping. I'm just going faster on the straights that I used to last year, so I do need to upshift maybe once more.

Keep the advice coming. Wait until you see my RA video.... that'll give you plenty to work with. ;)

we'll all be at BHF together may 24. I actually watched it again just to take lap times. your running 1:35 ave, some 37's and I clocked one 1:31.

Jeff

You're right on the money with those lap times. I kept getting stuck behind other riders, so I think I could run consistant 1:30's and lower. Maks and I did a 1:28 on Sunday.

Unfortunately I won't be attending the May CLSB day. My little brother (Honda4ever... the mouthy kid) is graduating high school. So I'll be in New Mexico running in the true canyons and twisties in the mountains. But I will have video! :D

Excuses, excuses.. your brakes couldn't possibly have been worse than mine. :twofinger :laughing
