No thanks! you can keep the bike handling skills if that's what it takes! :lmao::lmao:

what exactly is the point if you have to get off the bike and run or walk? I thought it was a fucking bike race.
It's a cross between a bike race and a triathalon as best I can figure. Only they couldn't call it a biathalon because there are no skis, and guns are outlawed.

Then some marketing guy came in and was all like "you guys remember all the merchandising we did when that Malcom X movie came out? We should put an X in there someplace so we can be wealthy" and the rest was history.

It's a bike race with other interesting obstacles to challenge your fitness and skills. You run a total of about 20 feet if that in most races, unless you can't ride a section, then you run that too because you suck. Course conditions dictate the amount of running sometimes though, because if it's wet and muddy or covered in snow and ice, the hills are unrideable. So there.

I only ask you to try it at least once. It is a ton of fun, but it is a workout that is for sure. It is a very humbling experience, at least for me it was.

I'll lend you my bike to do it with, just name the date, place and I'll deliver.

It's fun when it's above 40 degrees. Below that and you gotta want it. But it is a shitton of fun for some strange reason. There are a lot of ways to get ahead and fall behind during a race, which is probably why everybody likes it. It is not so one dimensional.

Oh sure, but it's a weapon just like a racebike is. Nobody hits the track without realizing and accepting the consequences. My bike is royally screwed after nationals. The cranks will barely turn over without even a chain on it. I gotta overhaul this thing pronto.
