here is some real tips for you:
1)remember its not a race your there to learn how to ride faster safer not race
2) follow an instructor your first session take note on there lines, watch them, see how they set set up for the turns, how they "LOOK" throught the turns, practice this if I can stress one thing looking through the turn would be it.
3) be smooth, pick a speed to enter a turn and slowly throttle through the turn, gradually picking up speed.
4) since this is your first time out there i'd suggest picking a gear for the first few laps and staying in it, (3rd is good for blackhawk)this will help you concentrate more on the turn then what gear you are in.
5) relax have a good time, its what your there for

hope this helps!

this is excellent. I'm so glad that you guys posted this here! It's exactly what I've been looking for. I signed up for 9/21 also for the intro class. I am really looking forward to it! Will be my first time on a roadcourse.

Well it looks like I will have to "dust" off the leathers and get back out there. Shoulder surgery is healing quite well-besides the funny looking bone that sticks up a couple inches. Oh well no more excuses I will see you guys out there for both days.

Mike- I'm looking forward to meeting you. My in-laws live in Oak Forest and I ride up there quite often, but I don't ride around there because there's no one to ride w/.

Brent- Glad to hear things are healing. Looking forward to seeing you back at it! Keep getting well!

BRENT!!!! That's WONDERFUL news! I'm so glad you'll be back for Blackhawk! (doing happy dance of joy)

Does this mean you'll be there for the CCS weekend too? Let us know if we can help you with anything.

Brent, I’m glad you’re getting your candy arse back in gear. Let us know what events to look for you at.

???

How fast is the Int. class? I had my first track day at Grattan earlier this year with CLASS. I was fast enoguh to move into their fast class. I was dragging pegs through most of the corners. Would it be wise to start our in BEG., then move up during the day? Thanks.

you would also have to have leather pants. and jacket do do the entire day. Dont think the double jeans are good enough at that point.

Yeah I think Cypher (sp) tried to go the whole day in July but they said his pants weren't good enough or something like that.
