Make sure the phone was previously used in AT&T before, otherwise it's a bitch to unlock/decode. And make sure it hasn't been reported stolen.
it is an at&t tdma v60. similar to my v60 color that just took a dump, and my old v60t that i destroyed in my bike crash early summer.

U should've taken out the battery asap.. take the proper torx driver and open up the phone and let it dry... i think you could've salvaged it still... oh well, at least u got one ordered already. :cheers
jesus people, i'm not a total noob! I shut it off, took the cover off, took the battery out, and left it to dry. I planned to leave it there for a day or 2. A couple hours later my girlfriend puts it back together, turns it on, and says to me "works fine for me". It took all my restraint not to go ballistic. Damage was done.

never thought u were a noob! .. just a suggestion, i worked w/ them phones for a looooong time.. w/ cingular, at&t, sprint, us cellular... etc. i am a techie geek too.. hehe

Chris, what you SHOULD have done is taken your phone apart to dry, then, after a few days, gone out to the sidewalk when moon is full. Once there you place the phone pieces in the arrangement of ATT on the sidewalk and proceed to dance around them humming anything from Enigma.

After that, find a goat and squeeze its testicles 3 times for luck. Then you take the pieces of the cell phone, put them in a garbage bag and shake them around until they reassemble themselves.

At least, that's what I would have done.

my v60 sucks...I cant get reception anywhere. ATT service Im ready to intentionally drop it in the shitter:mad Im wondering if it isnt a software issue in my phone
