wtf! is this normal??

2000 zx9r with hotbodies race work.

i just installed all the body work, so i could start cutting the upper, to drill for the frame sliders.

anyway, i know what i am doing and lineing the parts up and what not, i havent had a problem yet with just some common sense to figure things out.

anyway, the bottom belly pan is touching the grease nipple on the bottom of the swing arm pivot "the bottom of the rear shock" and when i bounce the rear end up and down, i see the left side belly and lower side flex in and out ofcourse due to the pressure point.

is this shit normal?

From everything that I see and read Hotbodies bodywork doesn't fit all that great. Would it be possible for you to cut a notch in the bellypan for the grease nipple?

its so small already plus like i said, i think it needs a 1/4 inch, which is larger then the grease fitting anyway. i think i just might have to live with it, as long as it doesnt mess with my suspension free flowing.

Welcome to the club of Hotbodies owners Ken THEY SUCK!!! I bought a set for the other SV and same thing they didn't clear certain areas, hell the lower smolders from touching the damn exhaust when it was still stock exhaust. They are crap and I would never buy another set ever again.

How did you put that again? Oh yes, fit them BEFORE you paint.:laughing

Here's what you do now: Cut hole around the grease fitting. Put a large bead of silicone caulk around the edge of the hole to keep your fluid retention properties of the belly pan.....problem solved.

thanks dave its seems likem this is the fact...lol

tazz i did, plus i am not done, i have to do the upper peice, but i needed to cut the frame slider holes, thats what made me complete the whole thing, nothing wrong with my holes, or screw holes, or placement off anything, its just that 1 spot of clearance.

+1 on this. I would not use them if they were free. The agravation is to much for me to handle.
