It's early, but I thought I'd post it now.

I'll be getting a Yamaha R6 and the stock bodywork will be sold. I'll be getting the black with the red flames. I keep the tank.

Drop me a note if you're interested. The parts should be available in January.

I thought that scheme was a special edition and was a couple of hunred dollars more. If that's the case why get that one if your just ripping off the bodywork and selling it? Why not just get the blue or red or silver or whatever regular color?

just curious:)

It's ultra special on the R1. Not so much on the R6. If I get another color, I'll have to trash the color on the tank, so for the $100 it does cost, I'll probably be even or ahead after the paint.

Don't know how I missed that.:confused

The 2003 R6 is different from the previous models. Different lights, different frame, etc., etc. Might be able to make it work, but I'd bet not easily.

good point......i guess you'd save well more than the $100 price differance...idiot me would have bought blue and than spent $300 to paint it black:rolleyes
