Well, I will say this, it's the first time I've been on a track that seemed to have a streetcar line running down the center of it.
Turnout seemed pretty light, which is a shame because the weather held up beautifully: mid-70s to low 80s once it warmed up in the morning. Beginner group really got moving pretty well towards the end of both days, no doubt aided by the light traffic. I can't speak for the other groups since I was down at the west side of the paddock, away from the track, but from there is sounded like they were doing well too.
Those seams really are something else. Still, it seems to be true that the best way to deal with them is to ignore them, for the most part, or at least to cross them aggressively.
I had a few difficulties on Friday night. I broke the end off my clutch lever and had no spare, but was able to get it safe enough to stay in the game both days.
Thanks now to the several CRs who worked with me this weekend and got me back to smooth running after a really shaky start. Also, to Grover for the brats, and to the guys I caught dinner with on Saturday. Catch you next weekend.
