A miracle in the desert is the best way to describe the Bears amazing victory over the Arizona Cardinals tonight by the score of 24-23. Thank bad kickers and a losing tradition as strong as the Cubs. The Bears get to keep their undefeated record, but tonight's game will certainly raise a lot of questions around Hallas Hall and in the minds of Bears fans.

ON OFFENSE:
The bile is coming up in my mouth just thinking about our offense tonight. There is nothing good to say. Every single player came out flat and went downhill from there on the offensive side of the ball. The put a whopping 3 points on the board the entire game. It was that bad and maybe worse.

Rex Grossman played the worst game of his career going 14/37 for 148 yards 4 INTs and 2 Fumbles. I think my syphalitic grandfather could have posted a better game. His accuracy was terrible and he had almost no zip on the ball the entire night. Rex needs to learn how to play from behind and not force balls into tight coverage. Give the Cardinals some credit for playing great coverage and getting decent pressure, but Rex melted down tonight in front of the nation. No excuses, just bounce back in two weeks after the bye.

Ron Turner deserves a callout tonight as well. He called almost as bad a game as Rex played. 13 carries for 41 yards. That's the combined stat line for our Rb's. Turner morphed into a fun and gun offense from the first snap of the game and it only got worse after the Bears trailed by 14 pts in the first quarter. With the best defense in the NFL, it's just plain stupid to abandon the run early in a game. Let's hope he learned how to trust his D to shut out a team in the second half.

All the skill position players deserve the same mud thrown at them with the exception of Des Clark who played well. Jones couldn't run, Moose and Berrian couldn't catch and the OL couldn't block tonight. I don't know why, but they all played like they partied with Keith Richards the entire week before the game.

ON DEFENSE:
What started as a showcase of bad tackling and how to spot a team 14 points, turned around in the second half on the game. Urlacher and Briggs combined to miss tackles in the first quarter that resulted in two TDs for the Cardinals. The best defense in the NFL didn't let that stop them. They came out in the second half and decided to win the game all on their own.

The Cardinals went with quick passes, rollouts and outside running plays the entire first quarter and it worked. For the first quarter that is. After that, the defense figured it out and put a stop to such nonsense. The D registered two TDs and gave up only 3 pts in the second half. I'm not sure the Bears offense had the ball in the fourth quarter the defense was scoring so much. Big props to Brian Urlacher and rookie Mark Anderson for creating the turnovers that won this game.

ON SPECIAL TEAMS:
Devin Hester scored the game winning TD returning a punt 83 yards in the fourth quarter. Overall special teams were solid, but the coverage and kick on the play after Hester's runback was poor and put the Cardinal in good field position to win the game.

OVERALL:
Thank you to whoever sold their soul to the devil to purchase this Bear's victory. They were outplayed and outcoached but they still pulled a victory out from the jaws of defeat. I'm going to go passout now. I think I might have carpal tunnel from typing all that crap. Goodnight and remember......THE BEARS DEFENSE WILL PUNCH YOUR STUPID FACE!

Man, I was just about to turn the set off when Devin ran the ball back.

They didn't pull victory from the jaw of defeat, they pulled it out of their ass. The Cards will never live this one down.

Unreal.

Holy Fuck.:bow :jester

HOLY FUCK!!!!!!:eek

That was all i could say after he missed the field goal!! HOLY FUCK THE BEARS WIN????!!!!!!

OK now yes Grossman had the worst possible game imaginable.......BUT what the hell is T Jones doing? Boy gots skills dont get me wrong but he should run NORTH AND SOUTH!!! That little dance he does is getting to me!!! Last night he caught it in the flats and instead of running 3 yards for the first he danced and gave the defenders time to close the door and went out of bounds!:bangin :bangin

FUNDAMENTALS GUYS......:bangin :bangin

We aint goin nowhere without the fundamentals! 2 hands on the ball, dont pat the ball, look of the safety/corners, NORTH SOUTH!!!!!!!!

Defense?...AFTER they got their shit together......well lets just say.....
"The Bears Defense Will Punch Your Stupid Face!"

Ugly, ugly game. But the Bears did do the right things when they needed too. Urlacher did strip that ball clean, Hester did run that one back clean, the defense did step it up at the end, (mostly Urlacher).

And the Cards still had they're chances. They missed the field goal. The Cards touchdown that got called back was the right call. They made their own bed.

Fucked up game fo sho

6-0 :cheers

PS I was screaming the whole time for the Bears to at least attempt to run the ball

Even though they got their asses kicked in the first half, they pulled out a win!

Cardinals got pwned!

More so than in games where the bears won by large point margins, for the Cards to blow a lead like that...............

CARDS GOT PWNED!:laughing

Everyone I know has no idea what's he means. "The Bears are who we thought they are, that's why we played them." Wtf does that mean? Wouldn't they play anyway?

Regardless, Denny Green is a tool.

The Bears obviously thought they could skate through this game. The Cardinals have some weapons. Hopefully this game wakes them up. So many people I've talked to already are panicking. Even the best teams lose games and the Hall of Fame is filled with QBs that have had off games. They're going to lose a game this year and it won't be the end of the world.

I know that, and you know that, but does anybody else? Everybody freaks out when they have an off day, and starts trash-talking the BEST TEAM IN FOOTBALL b/c they almost lost. Oh my god, then they'd only be 5-1!!! What should we do? Start rebuilding the team next year? Haha, no but I was so sick yesterday after hearing all my friends trash them b/c it was an off day. In my opinion, STFU:flip

Wow!!! What a game!!! My stomach and throat hurt this morning from all the yelling and screaming I did last night!! Right when Devin was looking up for that ball, I said he's going to run it back for a TD, and holy fuckin' shit, he did!!!!! The foundry cleared out at half time, I couldn't BELIEVE IT!! I guess that's when you tell real bears fans from the "Well they are winning, so we'll be fans".

However, I hope this was a eye opener for the Bears, because I think they became over confident in this game. I hope they realize just because they are undefeated and IMO the best team in the league this year, doesn't mean they can let up and relax. They now have a bye week to practice more and get their shit together!

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BEARRSSSS!!!!!!!!

Cardinals fire offensive coordinator

BOB BAUM - Associated Press
TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona Cardinals coach Dennis Green fired offensive coordinator Keith Rowen on Tuesday and replaced him with quarterbacks coach Mike Kruczek.

The move came hours after the Cardinals blew a 20-point lead and lost to the Chicago Bears 24-23 on Monday night.

"I've known Keith for a long time. I have the utmost respect for him," Green said. "We are not scoring enough points."

Kruczek becomes Green's third offensive coordinator in the coach's 2 1/2 seasons in Arizona.

Green said he was talking with Rowen about what other position he might take on the staff.

Kruczek has been quarterbacks coach since Green arrived.

"I think his close working relationship with Matt Leinart will give us a better chance," Green said.

DA BEARS defense punched him in his stupid face, then his boss kicked him in his stupid ass.. LOL

Apparently Denny Green made some comments about the Bears being beatable and he had some ideas on how to do it before the game. I think this is what he was referring to with the "who they are" comment. Stupid stuff, but Denny Green has always been a nutcase in the Dusty Baker way.

Thomas Jones stunk as bad as Rex did last night. I understand more and more why Angelo took Benson with the 4th pick. Benson hits the hole hard and has a very good initial burst. Jones is the exact opposite. The only defense for TJ last night is that Ron Turner didn't give him a chance to get going. Ron Turner must have thought he was Steve Spurrier with all the damn passes he called last night. Nothing like helping your floundering young QB by calling seven straight pass plays! Friggin idiot....

It's definately not time to panic. Rex and the O will get things figured out during the bye week. Monday Night Football on the road against a team opening their new stadium is a tough game to play. Look was the Saints did in their reopening game this year! Plus, I don't think they could have a worse game than they played last night so it's only uphill from here! We get San Fran and Miami at home after the Bye week so we should be back in synch by the time we go on the road against the Giants, Jets and Patriots in the toughest part of our schedule.

Ok so Im late to this thread..but holy crap. I turned it off at 23-3 and went to bed and almost had a heart attack the next morning watching ESPN. Complacency is a bear'tch. Im glad they got a close one to scare them into something. Believing your own press with this schedule is crap. To me this kinda stuff is what happened to them in the playoffs last year. Play scared and angry and know the 'any given sunday' speech. Listening to the radio this was supposed to be a 5000-23 point victory...wtf?? They are a much better team than what this game was obviously but they need to quit reading the news. I think they can make it to the championship game but they are going to have to be better than this(duh). Running game needs to step up...both these guys should be giving us a total of over 130 every game. Im glad they won but I hope its a good wakeup call.

Rex better not ever throw like that again. WTF was with going long pass after pass, and to receivers with 2 and 3 guys on them?
Trying to be like Favre? but you all see how THAT team's doing this year. This had to be the only game with 6 turnovers and Cards didn't win. Just off turnovers the Cards SHOULD have had over 20 points. They lost because they didn't capitolize on that. Likely reason why Green canned his off. coordinator. That and he's a nutcase. Three off. coordinators in 2 year? Um, I don't think the problem is with THEM.
