Spies To Test GSV-R
Ben Spies, fresh from his victory at Laguna Seca yesterday that saw him take his second consecutive AMA Superbike championship, has confirmed that he will test the Suzuki GSV-R800 this year. The test will occur on October 21 at Sepang the day after the MotoGP race. Spies also said that he does not know if he will be granted a wild-card ride at the season-ending Valencia race. Paul Denning, Rizla Suzuki team manager has commented that Suzuki very much wants to keep the 23 year-old Spies "in the fold". Spies is arguably the best young American roadracer since Nicky Hayden and is keen to test his mettle on the world stage.

You can't be the absolute best without winning a top class GP world title. I don't care what Carl Fogerty says.
Balls you have not.I was talking about the life these guys lead with a buddy lat night - Win a title in AMA and then fly over to test GP Bikes - Race in the season and test in the off all on sponsor and mfg dime - Envious I am
Hey, when it comes toi riding hard and the crashing of a bike, (cuz it will happen) I have no problem going balls out knowing that the $$ to fix is not out of my pocket :nutkick: - Other than talent, what usally holds me back is the fear of having to spend more $$ to fix it when I lay it down - I am not affraid of getting hurt as if I do injure myself (or even kill myself) I am doing it while riding and I am cool with thatBalls you have not.
