What does bieng an EE have to do with it? I've done well in all my classes up until now but that was despite some pretty bad professors. There are a couple really good professors but there are also quite a few bad ones. Alot of the students I talk to also share the same opinion that alot of professors can't teach. Its a research oriented school so alot of the professors are there to do research and don't really care about teaching. Also, a good number of the TAs don't speak very good English. I agree that UIC students are pretty cool, I've made a bunch of friends my first year. The rec center is also really nice. The campus is old and ugly for the most part.

Being an EE means there are a million of you. The EE and Comp Sci classes when I graduated were 4 times the size of the ME department. I knew every ME professor on a first name basis and they were all quite good.

In my graduating class at SIU, I was one of 12 MEs graduating in May. There were well over 100 EEs graduating at the same time.

We always had the issue of some engineering concentrations being way more overloaded than the others. That's why they changed the admission requirements every semester.

thats weird, my school (Bradley) ME's outnumbered any other engineering fields by a lot.

i'm thinking of going to San Diego (UCSD) next fall for my MBA. The way I see it, if the average schools are all similar, why not enjoy it?

One of my professors was talking about that. During the dot com boom, lectures that have about 50 people now had something like 100+ during the dot com boom.

Is there a difference between UIC and The University of Chicago? Because the University of Chicago's GSB is like top 5 in business schools in the US. DePaul isn't even on there. But for me to get my MBA from there, it will be about 95k.

I plan on attending the University of Chicago's Graduate school of business next year in the winter, their Saturday program.

What about Northwestern?

UIC = University of Illinois, Chicago
U of C = University of Chicago.

U of C is a much more prestigious school.

Go out and buy this week's issue of Crain's Chicago Business Weekly. The whole 2nd half of the issue is the annual report on Chicago area MBA programs.

They do all the analysis and rankings for you. Plus interview alumni and current students.

They even have a salary guide.

You're welcome. I love reading Crains. A subscription is pricey but it always has great articles in it. Plus the graphics blow away NewsBleak.
