The back end...what ZX-9R's will usually be seeing:twofinger
you know it is 1 hot looking bike...and i liked how (when you look down on it) the front end looks like nothing but a couple wires and a garge...and then steel & aluminum.

very light looking...whats the weight for it wet?
ahh andy you just had to start talking shit:laughing

dude dont go there...JIM"S big ass bet you on his stock 9r

i piss whipped you on my 9r.

you better mod that baby to get some respect around here...lmao
Shit, this one is starting to get more miles than the BMW...only 3 days of riding it and it has just under a fifth the BMW has...and that one is 7 months old!

And you know how I love talking shit on this board:evil :evil :twofinger The Scott's damper is supposed to be in later this week or beginning of next, then I wont be afraid of the thing tankslapping on me as rumor has it these things do...then we'll see about Jim's bike when I give it full throttle (and learn how to launch it):D

Your bike...well, you will have to wait till I mod it out a bit, your gearing kind of has a big advantage.

About the weight...I think it is supposed to be 430 with a full tank.
NOT BAD ..thats pretty good. once you get it broken in,

+3 in the rear
yellow box speedo corrector
full race hindle, low mount

and that thing will be kicking some ass and taking names.

for now...adjust your preload and set the sage around 29mm with you on it. thats my suggestions...you know how mushy soft stock suspension is.

you gotta weigh what atleast 210?

Cranking in all the preload in next...then at least stiffer fork springs for sure down the road...they are real soggy. Weight is 180-185.
Sure beats the YZF, Andy. :D Looks nice.
YAAAWWWWWNNNN!!!!! just another honda!!:twofinger it is a nice looking bike, but beat a 9r bwahahahahaha!!! :twofinger
Nice Bike Andy!!!!

The ZX9's will be running for cover once you get it broken in and modded (Full Hindle+PC3+Gut the flapper).... you should be in the 140+hp ballpark.

I did wanna ask you about the forks though. I read an article in RRW by [email protected] about the new literbikes (954/R1/Gixer1K/ZX9....) He mentioned that the 954 has NO internal preload(much like the 00-01 RC51's), and the best they could set the sag with a 165lb rider was 52MM(Front preload PINNED)!!!!!! Just wondered if you measured yours???

If that is true the FIRST thing I would do....before the Scotts IMHO would be to pull the forks and send'em to Dan Kyle, MDracing or 4&6.

BTW- Max wasn't too kind to any of the bikes..... I liked his line ("if manufactures spent 1/10th the money on suspension development they do on Engine development Traxxion would be out of buisiness....") I could dig up the article if you want (RRW)

His(max's suspension opinions)--

Zx9= Tank with the geometry of land barge...
Gixxer= Crappy forks & hard to find a good setup...
R1= (best Stock suspenders) but soft....

He did note that in race trim all bikes have the potential to be front runners.

Mark, I read the same article...seems that all the litre bikes have some crippling flaw to them, gixx with the crappy kayaba fork and bad brakes, 954 with the forks sprung way too soft/twitchy, R1 with ?????....that bike didnt really turn my crank, it was a front runner for a while for me reading the reports, but like I said, I really didnt like it all that much.

I did notice that the bike does sag quite a bit under its own weight, I have yet to crank in whatever preload is available, but I will be getting springs eventually. Fork revalve will be in the works, might as well do that too if I am doing the springs. I havent done any measurements yet, but I am quite sure that some adjustments are in order both front and back, it hasnt really done anything fishy so I havent done that yet. Otherwise the bike is just the way I like it...total turn happy bike, it really likes to turn, and quickly too!:D

I was planning on the Dan Kyle route...just heard a little about MDracing, will check into him too now. Too busy riding the thing to start wrenching on it if you know what I mean. The Scotts is some cheap insurance that if the thing does wreck, it will be due to my own stupidity, not some vengeful act of the laws of physics ;)

I AGREE, that's exactly what Jim, Ken & I will be seeing ....
just before we lap your slow ass! :laughing :laughing
Your right its exactly what a ZX9R rider will see. Provided a slow as rider like me is on it. Anyone else and it would be the other way around I think.:jester
