Here i was cruising along minding my own business when an idiot who was parked wanted to pull out. No signals, didn't even look if there was traffic, I was almost up to his drivers door (blindspot i bet) when i got the feeling this guy might pull out and hit me. I got close to the yellow line and sure enough he popped out of the parking space. I slammed on the brakes and i think i felt the back tire slightly leave the ground. The fucking jackoff just wanted the parking space 2 cars in front of where he was parked:mad :mad :mad I missed his drivers side door by about 4 inches and i was expecting him to do just what he did... i can only imagine what would have happened had i not been paying attencion. :nono

did you try to make yourself more audible? i.e. rev the engine or beep your horn?

did you share a few choice words with the idiot afterwards?

sounds like he could have just as easily have done the same thing to a bicyclist or another car let alone a motorcyclist

well, I didn't mean simply to vent some frustration on the idiot, but rather make sure it sticks in his mind and he thinks twice about it the next time he's in that situation. if the jerk doesn't learn from his mistakes, he's simply bound to repeat it...and next time the consequences may be worse for someone else

Nice move on the brakes. YOu know you're at max braking if the front end slides/churps or the rear comes off the ground. I did that in a gas station parking lot.

No point in doing anything other than honking. Most drivers assume it was some how your fault, you snuck up on them going too fast. poeple hate to blame themselves for careless shitty driving habits. Actually myself included:rolleyes :twofinger
