well anyway i was driving down caton farm rd. and i see 2 guys pulled over on the side and i slowed down....sure enough its (i wont say there names unless they chim in.)

i pull over(i was on the other side of the street) and asked him if he was ok. he said yeah blablabla...i couldnt hear the rest.
so i did a U turn and pulled up and got out.

the cop gave him a ticket for his plate SLIGHTLY...I SAID SLIGHTLY BENT UP.
i was like WTF???? and said it load and walked away showing the cop...thats WAYYYY to bullshity.

guys his plate was visabile like hell man. it REALLY sucks it happen i know the cop was doing his job but FUCKEN PLEASE:rolleyes

the moral of the story PLAINFEILD COPS (well atleast this rookie) will ticket you for this i guess and it was 75 bucks...and i think he still has to go to court...this shit should be dropED!!!!!

p.s. i am not cop bashing by no means.

that sux. was the plate bent or the mount. if its the mount, how much is too much. I ask cause we havent fixed Lupi's yet it swivels and changes angles. hehe I got pulled over on it when I had it flipped up. Cop let me off when I realized what it was and flipped it down.

Well, I would like to bash that idiot up side the head a few times. I must preface this with I have a large number of buddys that are cops, and am generally pro-LE, but this guy needs to eat his pistol, the world would be better without him. (am I a little harsh?) This guy was reeking of attitude coming out of his car, seems he had it in for bikes or sportbikes from what he was saying. Brilliant piece of police work there too....writes the ticket for a 97 Yamaha that is supposed to be Black and Sliver (old bike)....too bad the bike in front of him is a Red and Black HONDA! Wow, if I was a bike thief that put some plates on my freshly stolen bike I would be happily wheelieiing my way into the sunset with that pinhead on the job. He didnt notice the big HONDA on the back of the bike right next to the plate he was so interested in, what a moron. Of course the ticket is written as a violation of a local ordinance, so Plainfield gets the money...gee, I wonder what the Plainfield PD's priority is? It would be one thing if we were fucking around, but we were just riding in a traffic jam to attact his attention, so keep an eye out for the Barney Fife working in Plainfield...he's out to catch some real crooks on bikes!

if he wrote the wrong info on the ticket fight the ticket and you should win since it's not a properly written out complaint against you... friendly advice:D :cheers
Or you could just show him your badge and ride away...oh wait.....only special people could do that!!!!:p :laughing :)
Is that plate registered to the new bike? If the plate is properly registered to a red/black Honda and you were riding a red/balck Honda, it shouldn't be too hard questioning his powers of observation and getting the ticket thrown out.

Also, several of the local departments are writing tickets for bent plates thanks to the guys who run.
Define "bent plate"?? I have mine bent up just a bit, not much more than my Wife's plate, as you can see....is this going to get me pulled over?:confused

Real close to yours...mine was perfectably readable from the rear.

Dave...it will be once the computer gets the information typed in by whoever does that.

Jib...I know;)

oohhh my god he does own a bike!!!;) :D :twofinger :jester
At least it was not tucked way inside the fender near the swingarm.........I could understand a ticket for that...
Dude......easiest way to get out of it at court....PLAY DUMB!

sorry, your honor, I didn't know it was bent, I would like to thank the nice officer for pointing it out.

The second you try to argue about it, the smaller the chance you will have it dismissed. Swallow your pride and attitiude (not assuming you have one :)) be a boy scout and KISS ASS!!!!!
