Is there a way to see what has recently been burned onto a CD on a Windows XP machine? Hypothetically, let's say I burned a CD at work...would they be able to check some sort of log that shows the files that were burned onto that CD?

Yes. It will show every pR0n title that you burned onto a CD. So your midget horse fetish will be exposed to all.

Actually, I have no idea.

I'm just curious. My IT dept. is fairly incompetent, so I doubt they have all that much logging going on, but who knows.

Thanks for the response

obvious thing to overlook, if burned through XP and not an add-on program did you make sure the burn folder was empty?

He not talking about a 'log'. All of the files on that CDR might still be sitting in a temporary burn folder on the hard drive.

The folder path in XP is:

%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\CD Burning

(Just cut and paste that path into your start bar and it'll open up the folder when executed.)
