I prettty much dislike the Cubs (SOX SOX SOX!!!) buuuuuut a certain (SOX)female wants to go(SOX) see them. I haven't seen them since i was (SOX)about 11 so i have a couple(SOX) questions if anyone knows; Do they have(SOX) anything besides beer like the(SOX) Mikes Hard Lemonade in the plastic bottle? This will be the second date, so any suggestions on what to do in that area before or after the game?
And where's a good place to sit? the bleachers perhaps?

:cheers

Thanks all

Bleachers are alright, but for a second date, I would go w/ the seats (lower level). I don't know what else they sell there besides beer, but afterwards, there are all sorts of shops up and down Clark and Belmont. You could hit the Improv Olympic Comedy club. If I remember right it is just north of Wrigley on Clark (if it isn't, it's just south on Clark).

Too bad the Annoyance Theater isn't still there. Otherwise you could catch the double feature: Coed Prison Sluts and Screw Puppies.

Doc
just remember to drink alot before you get there, it will be the only way you will be able to tolerate what they call base ball!!

go sox!!:cheers
chances of getting bleacher tickets are slim to none. that is the best place to sit. other than that, there isn't a really bad seat i the place. granted the lower levels are better though, they are closer. My advise to you is to take the train. Start drinking early, and finish drinking late. A cubs game is more than just a sporting event, its an alcoholic marathon. Need bar suggestion for before and after the game?
I agree with Doc, never take a date to the bleachers...that's where you find dates!

Wrigley is pretty much "the worlds biggest happy hour w/a baseball game in the middle".

I share Cubs season tix (1st row upper deck box behind home plate & parking pass), let me know when you're going, If I've got that date, I'd be happy to let you have'em....even if you are a Sox fan!

I'll remember that if you ever tell me that you are going to the bleachers without me!

I was planning on going either the 17th or 18th.
That would be pretty sweet if you could hook me up.
I'd still do something for you Jeff.

Some bar suggestions would be nice....i was planning on driving, but the train does sound like a better idea.

Does anyone know any other alcohol they serve there?

i'm a beer drinker, so i dont know about other stuff they may serve. I think when at wrigley you need to drink either Old Style(official beer of wrigley), or Bud light(in honor of harry carey). Nothing else should be tolerated, unless you are completely trashed, then any booze will do.

As for bars, there are several right around the field and all are popular before and after the games. Personally I like to do a circuit and go to as many of them as possible. Start at Murphy's bleachers, then walk down to Sports Corner, then over to Hi Tops, then onto the Cubby Bear. By now you should be so completely trashed that dancing sounds like a good idea(and by now it should be the evening), head to John Barelycorns and go upstairs to make an ass of yourself.

Don't forget Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack.

Bar Louie just to kick it and people watch, Music Box Theater for "artty" films, go a little south to Broadway and Barry to Intelligentsia Coffee house for the best Cinnamon scones in the world.

No can do for 16th or 17th.

I do have Sat 8/31 versus Cards....you're more than welcome to 'em.

OMG.....Co-Ed Prision Sluts what the funniest thing I have ever seen! I had to have seen it about 6 years ago or so, I went back to see another play(that was all Comic character styles) and they had changed locations. Now there is something that I would b=pay a pretty penny to go and see again!
