Ok took the bike out last Sat. I now seem to have a flat spot from 4-6k Dont remeber seeing it at Putnam, but I seldom was that low in the RPM's. Any ideas what could be the cause or what I should look for.

Second. I seem to have alot of what appears to be oil up on the right side tripple clams and fairing area. I was attributing that to the Hyper Pro steering stabilizer, but it seem a bit much. Is it possible that the fork seals are leaking up there. I do plan on replacing the springs and oil this winter, just curious. And the damn Hyperleak is getting replaced as well.

Sounds like you need new seals

as for the flat spots. I would put fresh gas in there first to be sure your gas wasn't bad. Then maybe check plugs for starters.

fork seal is blown
if you have a jet kit.
the 4-6000 rpms range is in the needles, drop down 1 clip and ts solved, colder weather makes the bike leaner, you must have your jetting pretty darn good set, so this is normal when you have it tuned GOOD
