Time to sell my 916 and try out another bike.
The bike is a 1995 with around 26k miles. Always properly cared for by MCC in Villa Park. Just had new stainless lines and a full service at 23k (April 2002). The bike has slip-ons, chipped with the P8 computer (more adjustable), air filter, Ohlins rear shock, Fast by Ferracci clip-ons for more comfort (stock included as well), good amount of rubber left, extra set of wheels and tires, rear swing-arm stand, geza cover, clear double bubble windscreen, Corbin rider seat (stock also), vented clutch cover (and stock cover), Yellow bodywork from a 1997 748 that only has about 9k miles (not wrecked, just wanted yellow instead of red), a factory Ducati workshop manual and owners manual, extra oil filter, new oil plug (billet and pre-drilled for safety wiring), and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting about.
I only did two track sessions on the bike (NESBA Intro at BHF). The bike runs perfect. It has a couple of minor cosmetic flaws but nothing serious. The sprockets and chain are probably soon due to be replaced so the price will be lowered for that.
The bike sees the street and I am not that aggressive of a rider (you will see the chicken strips on the tires). Currently has Pirelli Corse tires, which are soft. Extra tires are Dunlop 208's purchased from this site off a RC51, very little wear on tires. Extra wheels are stock wheels in near perfect condition.
Asking $8500 obo. This is a little below blue book. I will certainly deal below this. The bike is great, I'm thinking of getting a new 998 or maybe an Aprilia Mille. Title is in hand and ready.
Email me at [email protected] for more info or questions. Or call, 773.968.4915 during the evening.
Thanks, Kevin
