Don't worry Kim, we can do it again later too if you want. I'm sure they'll give me the same deal in the post season.KBOlsen said:You KNOW I want it but the timing is just bad, bad, bad. Gotta wait until the post-season before I buy "goodies".![]()
That is a great deal tho.
Thanks for the advice Tony. I think that's how it's going to work. We're already down to $85. Let's keep it going.GsxrTony said:I'm in100% I dont care what price it gets too. I just need one. Crazy if your gonna do this make sure you get the money in advance from everyone. I dont wanna see you get stiffed.
C'mon guys get in on this. I want the price to go lower.
And Mike quit bitchin and get in on it , even at 100 thats not that bad of a price. Thier prices have gone down a bit from last year.
Just let me know when your ready Doc. I'll do it again for you.Doc said:Maybe we can get enough people for a later date too. Because right now is out for me, but come Oct./Nov. I will be game.
Doc
I'm going to let the thread go a couple of more days before I decide on a deadline to make sure we have enough interest. After that I'll give you guys about a week or so to get me the cash. Looks like around 7 so far. You guys are going to have to get the cash/check to me before I buy. I'll have them shipped to my house and then I'll bring them to Strats or make other arrangements accordingly.lossofsanity said:first question. when is this buy gonna happen.
second. how many people in so far.
third. how to pay for this.
and finally are we gonna wait for ten if so im in.
thanks crazy. i was looking at the yellow box for awhile. this group buy is cool. again thanks.
I dont know haw many people have a gps. We will probably have a group ride just to calibrate these things. That way we can dial everyone in at once.Michael said:
Tony, will you help me calibrate/whatever this thing when we get them? me have no gps thingamajig! :thumbsup

Either taht, or we will all just meet somewhere and I'll take everyones bike for a rdie and dial them in real quick.
I'm pretty sure the instructions are going to get us pretty close to where we need to be. After that, I know Ken, checked his with Tony's GPS. I thought he said it was within 1 mph which is pretty fair because I'm sure a GPS may have a little margin of error as well.Michael said:
both these ideas sound good to me. just curious, what do you have to do to calibrate them when you have a gps? simply take a ride and compare the gps speed with the speedo speed? (is that how the gps is used?)
Yup, I usually strap the GPS to the bars, then take a ride and get to say 75 miles per hours onthe GPS, then take note of the speedo reading. Then you do your calculations and see what percentge you speedo is off. Trip the switches on the box and your all set.Michael said:

From my understanding, our speedos are plulse speedos. So unless you get some kind of stutter in the pulse, highly doubtful, It would be a percentage cross the board.Michael said:
is the percentage the speedos are off across the board? ie 8% off at 10mph and 150mph? or does the error increase as speed increases?
