Got them pretty good in WI with Mark (VTR996) and Steve (Phozed). Blackhawk Farms Raceway did the rest :D
what i do is take a blow torch and some 80 grit paper...when the rubber gets hot...i scuff it with the sand paper...then i feed some bullshit to the guys how i did such and such track day;)

I see. use the blowtorch for that balled up lookin' effect. That's pretty slick!!:D :laughing :laughing :laughing
you got it...it always works and it looks like its a real race tire;)

ahh all bull shit aside bro...give me your bike next time we go on the front roads;)

NO OK for real....who cares man....chicken strips mean nothing negative about the rider. (in my book.) and for anyone that says they DO.... WELL if you got chicken strips you suck...WELL COME play with me...on a gravel road..and see who can lean farther...WITHOUT going down:evil

Noway, I want to do it myself. I'm getting real close on the right side form the clover leafs. I haven't had a good opportunity for the left side yet.:D

ahh the track is for posers man....i like my shit at the mall, so the chicks can see my new shorts and flip flops:thumbsup
track too care of mine. but the street took care of the center tread so its new tires for me.
Ok, I was gonna vote for "I'm just that darn good," but who cares!? :D
You can get ride of the chicken strips without going over 10mph or so easy...just circle a parking lot in a 25 foot or so circle sitting on the side of the bike, gets rid of em good and quick...or just ride like someone who cant control their bike too good with 15 lbs in the tires...any lean angle will buff them right off:evil

Hmmmm, cloverleaves backwards....:D
just lean er over !!!

Find a parking lot and ride in a tight circle. Go faster and lean farther without widening the circle. You can get to the edge of the tires and grind the peg feelers in first if you're turning sharp enough.

A MSF course gives you a nice line to carve.

I know most of you guys got more lean angle than my X1, but I can grind my buddy's VTR real easy the same way.
One time I re-rubbered the race bike with a fresh set of Pirelli DOTs and did some laps at Gingerman. When I came back in they were scrubbed to the edges but I still had nubs in the CENTER.....that was way cool.
