Exclusive: Edwards moves to Ducati
POSTED - 15/08/2002

MB4U.com can exclusively reveal that Castrol Honda rider and 2000 Superbike World Champion Colin Edwards is set to partner GSE Racing's Neil Hodgson in the official Ducati Corse SBK team for 2003.

So far, no official announcement has been made, but MB4U.com's sources have confirmed that Edwards has indeed signed a letter of intent to ride the Bologna-based manufacturer's 999 F03 next year.

The signing comes at a time when rumours in the SBK paddock suggest that Honda Europe may be about to scale down its presence in the championship.

MB4U.com will be bringing you more details as soon as they emerge.

Now if Ducati can just arrange for all the races to be in the wet the championship is a done deal. But :twofinger Collin. Honda has given that boy everything he ever wanted.

They have Nicky to move up, I wouldn't worry. Ben Bostrom and Ruben Xaus are free agents.:rolleyes
Honda has so much money, if anyone they can afford the Xaus wrecks.:p:helmet

I'm convinced that with all the development money Honda is pouring into MotoGP (not to mention Rossi's pockets), they don't have much interest in WSB right now. They only grided one rider all season.

They will probably look to move Nicky up or find some young new riders. They might even consider using WSB to farm riders for MotoGP now that 4 strokes rule.
