need wheels balanced chicago/des plaines area

hey

im mounting my tires back on my bike in a couple hours and need a shop to balance them for me,

any recommendations around west chicago/des plaines area?

I would have gone to chicago cycle but they are closed unfortunately..

And I have an awesome collection of brooms and jackstands to get that balance just right .

Actually , when you get close , it will work . Only very experienced people can tell the difference . I get a lot of people that dont have any or dont want any weights at all.

Nice improvising stevo...

A regular balance stand works fine....that's what Dunlop and everyone else uses at the track....and your going 190+ on a superbike.

Actually, anything like stevo demonstrated works fine as long as it doesn't cause the bearing to bind. Like Jason said...if your bearing suck and are sticking in spots its going to throw off the balance.

I can see why Grasshopper might think the broomstick won't work. The pics are deceiving, almost looks like the broomstick was sagging in the middle and that the wheel would not be able to spin freely. I took the pics and that wheel was "rolling" just fine.
