This is the Nolan X-lite. I tried one on today over a naperthrill suzuki. Felt pretty good, removable liner, And one ot the trickest shield locking systems I've ever seen.

Although I havnt heard much about Nolan Helmets, Anyone know how they rate compared to the popular brands?

That was my first thought too, But I'm not sure if I wanna buy a nelmet just because its a popular brand. Guess jeans werent nessicarily better jeans in the 80's but you had to have them. :D

Guess jeans won't protect your ass at 100+mph let alone your head. I'm not sure I would take to much from a salespersons review. They like to take the newest thing and sell it to death before anyone finds out it sucks!!! Just me, but I would wait to see if anyone else reviews this helmet, and see how it holds up against the old reliables or just buy an old reliable

Not this one, But the valk may be a different color next summer ;) :D

I just really want a good helmet at a reasonable price. I'm not up to spending $500 on a shoei or Arai, jhust because their popular brands. Hell they shoud be cheaper since they sell so many of them.

Color choice, I like the Red/blue combo. I have not heard good or bad on the Nolans.

Motorcycle Consumer News did a helmet review last year and the HJC (CL-10 model I think) was tied w/top of the line Arai and Shoei models... for about 1/3 the price.

My next helmet will be an HJC until Arai changes their sales policy.

Yeah thats another thing I really do like th arai's but buying one at a dealer costs an arm and a leg. They need to go back to online sales and stop thier bitchin. I have an HJC cl-12 and it is noisy as hell, and the visor flips up when you turn your head. I'm steering clear of them this time.

I paid $325 for my Arai Quantum/f (the Helmet Shop in Daytona - www.helmetshop.com) and I'm ready to buy another one (it took a couple of good hits on Saturday) - I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Arai's product. I didn't even have a headache after Saturday, and before that, it fit my head perfectly, was quiet and lightweight. I think they're still the same price online.

Hey you can get by the Arai sales shit. I'm not sure what site either www.helmetharbor.com or www.helmetshop.com .There was a post on SBN about it. All you have to do is fill out some form saying you were there and tried on a helmet and that you wanna have them send it to ya. There basically saying that you stopped by the shop on a motorcycle and tried on such said helmet and that you couldn't take it with you because you had no way of hauling seeing you already had a helmet on.

G'Luk wit ya choice :twofinger

Tony, I got an Arai RX7 RR4 solid for $359.00 this June at this site:
http://www.houseofmotorcycles.com/clearancehelmets.htm
Now there is a limited selection of helmets at this price, but service was excellent. It is more likely that they have more Arai in extra large than large, but you might check it and see what they have available. Here are most of the RX7 RR4 (and one 3).

i think they may have stopped this since arai didn't like it or something.
Why do I picture everyone at the Arai main office goose stepping in unison, while the president hollers out orders.
