To DGY Managment and staff,

Over the years we have had a long and prosperous relationship. I have bought 5 bikes and countless accesories from you guys and have sent everyone I know in to spend even more money in your shop. Ask Dan or Harry or Tim, when I am in the mood to spend mony DGY is always the first place I go...

...Until Now.

When Tony looked me in the eye yesterday and said that he could not budge on the price of my new helmet, I said fine, and gave up my credit card. Although, I truly hope getting every last dollar out of that helmet was extremly gratifying for you guys. Because it is the LAST dollar you will ever get out of me and anyone else I talk to about your store. I havent spent 13 years in your store spending countless dollars to be treated like some newbie squid off the street. I take that as a personal insult and I hold grudges for a very long time.

Yes I know exactly what the mark up is on an Arai quantum, and believe me you could have afforded to give me a measly 10% off or something just to make me a happy customer which would have given you a lot of good PR. All of my future buisness will now be with Woodfield, Hondahouse and Naperville Suzuki.

It's been Nice doing buisness with you,
Tony Filippelli.

Nope thats ok, Thats there fault , not mine. I love my new helmet and didnt mind dropping the cash for it. It was worth it to me, but it was thier actins that set me off. I will never set foot in there again.

Or wait maybe I will, Just to try stuff on before I order it online :D

i still feel like i got alittle ripped i paid 90 bucks to much for my lid versus the web BUT they did cut me a small break. which is better then nothing.
Yup I expect to pay more ina store and thats fine, they have overhead, that overhead makes it conviant for me as a shopper. A little break was all i was asking for. Thats ok they made thier bed now they can lie in it.

I'm still considering a goldwing in the spring, And the Gixxer 1000 still has my interest peaked.

the idea of having it now and supportin the local shops is fine with me. Getting a discount cause you bought the bike there or do lots of business should be expected. But any substantial price difference, of if they need to order it, then its better to go online.

I'm still trying to figure out the whole convienience thing Tony.

hmmmmmmmmm. Drive a half hour away to deal with some bozo pushy prick of a salesperson........or sit on my duff and punch my credit card number in the box, wait a few days and someone brings the thing to your house where you open the box and slap it on your head and go riding. hmmmmmm I don't know....sounds like a no brainer to me.

Do ya suppose their refusal to budge on price has anything to do with Arai not being available online any more?

That's a good point. Anyone looking to save the most money on an Arai needs to get one online before they are out of stock.

However, that's a shitty way for DGY to treat a long time customer.

Dosen't DGY give you 10% off anything instock, for 1 year, if you buy a bike from them, or as long as any warranty is still in effect on your bike bought from them?

Well they did change their policy a smidgeon, but you have to still go to a shop, get one 'fitted' from a *trained* salesman (still no answer on how they certify someone to fit a helmet) and then send in a copy of a sheet the dealership signs to teh place you are ordering it from. No online place can advertise a price or actually sell it on-line. You have to call their phone # in now.

But still, Arai telling me I basically have to be fitted by a pimple faced 17yr old when I know exactly what a helmet shoudl fit like is fucking ludacrious. Cant wait to get my Soumy now.

<center>Hey ARAI
FUCK YOU!!!!

I went to DGY awhile back to get EBC HH pads. I called first and they said they had them in stock. When I got there all they had was GG and tried to convince me that they were good enough for racing. I asked if they had stock pads and they said they would sell me a pair off the showroom floor, but I would have to pay the labor... How much was labor??? They said it would take 1 1/2 hrs to remove the front pads. After I finished laughing and insulting their service dept. I went somewhere else and never went back.

If it takes their service dept 1 1/2 to change pads I would hate to think how long it would take them to do a job that can't be done will a ball point pen in 5 min

Sorry they treated you that way Tony. It's a shame you had to end your obviously long-term relationship with them, and it seems they don't even care.

Hopefully they'll try and make it up to you somehow. If not, oh well because it's their loss.
