Just remembered, this weekend is the Midwest Streetbike Shootout at Earlville, Iowa. Supposed to be some Boss Hoss riders showing up to kick ass. I gotta go see Mad Mike clean their clock. But, since Earlville is right on highway 20, I might hook up with you guys for part of the way.

Maybe we could shoot out there instead. I personally don't care, I am checking on which day. My Bud (Tim) has to get an OK with the wife. Mine just wants me out of the house.

Is this gonna be a Sat or a Sun thing?

Interceptor, We are heading out on Sunday Morning early. I am in South Elgin. There are usually about 5 of us. We take 64 out to Oregon, head up the river there, and go west to Galena. Layne is in Freeport, and I am going to try and get him going. He really knows the roads out there well. Email me if your interested. J

I'm up in Round Lake Beach, but I've just moved from Bartlett, right near South Elgin.

Let me know exactly what time and place y'all are meeting Sunday morning. (I'm not familiar with the smaller roads in that area.)

Who hoo! Another SV! Have you put that sticker I gave you onto your bike yet? Go on a LITH ride if you get the chance. Puts the roads around us to shame.

Motobeagle- What time are you leaving Sunday AM? I have to be home around noon, but I might just ride out there (Galena?) and then just come right back once I get there.

The deal for Sunday

It looks like we will hook up @ the 7-11 on the Corner of Randall & North Ave (64). I am shooting for 7am, unless there are too many complaints.
As far as stopping, we are not iron butters we stop every 60-80 anyway. My buddy Tim needs his Marlboros when he is in "Flavor Country."
We do a fairly healthy pace (70-90), but it seems we always get back around 5-6 pm, so we decided to get going a little earlier. Hope all can make it. Jerry

I get up at 4:30 during the week anyhow so it's not a big deal for me. Even if I wasn't used to getting up that early, it's well worth it to avoid suburban mallrat traffic. By the time that kicks in, we'll be out in the boonies.

I might be interested in heading out with you guys, if that is OK. 7am is relatively early(I love an early start) but I sometimes have trouble dragging my ass out of bed on weekend. I will try to meet you guys at North and Randall but if I don't make it don't worry about waiting for me. Hope to see you soon.

Well I'm up in Huntley (near Lake in the Hills)... are you guys by chance thinking of maybe swinging up this way on your way out to Galena? Perhaps the Panera or Caribou?

7am is a really early start for me (REALLY early if I gotta meet you guys at Randall and 64...) but I might be able to bring a friend or two out with me. I have a few friends up in the Rockford area (Frank Kitson, and his buddy Neil on a TL-R) that might be down for joining us (they know a lot of the cool roads between Rfd and Galena.)

I'm working late on Saturday night - but it's a small load, so I should be able to get at least SOME sleep.

I am considering coming out as of right now if everything works out this weekend. I have a shitload going on. That does sound like a cool ride, I'll see what I can do to make it work out.
