Ok guys, time to put those bikes to good use...and put some miles on sampling some of the more interesting/scenic roads that IL and WI has to offer! It will start at everyones favorite meeting spot...Strats's in Villa Park, head East towards the city, up the Lakefront into the Kenosha Area, West into the ABC roads, lunch in Lake Geneva, back south to hit the LITH routes, and if you guys have the balls for it, continue on into the Starved Rock area and eventually end up back at Strats. An all day aventure, so get the pillows out to strap to the seats:evil So without further adieu...

Meeting Place: Strat's in Villa Park...North Av just West of Rt. 83.

Meeting Time: Saturday Aug 3, 10:00AM, kickstands up 10:30AM

Type of Ride: See above, not a demon run, not a casual cruise.

Got the balls?:jester

If I don't go to RA, I'm in for (at least a portion of) this!
How about giving us a time frame for where you will be, i gotta work till noon but could probably meet up with you guys in Lake Geneva:D
hey is anyone meeting at hh on the way to wisconsin? oh, do you guys know if my permit will be valid in wi (everytime i wanna go get a license something comes up like this ride) and if they have helmet laws in wi ?:helmet
Aug 3rd

Guys, im a new member. I live in Lake Geneva, and am
interested in Aug 3's ride. Can I meet you guys in L.G.
for lunch and catch the last half the ride?

Where's the ride go from L.G. ?

Henry
WI is not a helmet state. Your permit should be valid. Or, just go get your license first thing in the morning!

Nope dont need one up there. But you will find that 99.9 percent of the people on that ride will be wearing one.
the ride sounds cool. is it okay to wear jacket gloves and helmet? or is everyone wearing leathers?
:p I'm in ....although we should have another leg back downtown for evening festivities:p

Be therre or be square
Brian
Clarification on Gear:

Helmet...Highly recommened, most wear 'em.

Leathers, etc....we usually wear them, usually jacket and gloves, seldom full suits unless it is cold/death run/total poser:evil If by chance it is searing hot that day, some have been known to use a tee shirt only in those instances, but the antics become very subdued...we like to entertain ourselves while riding if you get my drift.

Somebody from the CSBA should go. Did you notice Henry posted to go. I think one of us should be there to meet him and I'm not a definite yet.

That means between Bill and Dan one of might have to actually show up and not just say your going.:D
I'm in.....see you Sat @ 10:00

Not complaining just concerned for the guy that's been trying to catch up with one of us for the last month. I guess I'm out of my place but no biggie.

I can deal with some people and their reliability. It doesn't bother me much.:evil :evil :evil :evil :evil :evil

Yes your permit is valid in WI. And YES you do have to have a helmet on in WI if you are riding on a learners permit or under 18. Otherwise, helmets arent required in WI.
Im going to try and make this. Work might bust my ass though... :mad
