OK, so I just noticed this. Currently, every sopt that is not an actual button or link to something else is acting like a hyperlink to the main forum index. I can roll my mouse all over and I get the hand indicating a link. Except for on this page that I am composing this post on.
I noticed this on Monday, but thought it was just cuz I had a screwey thread....see other thread.

Any reaspn for this?

Uh I just went and hovered my mouse over every button on four different pages and I'm seeing the correct links. Where exactly is this happening? and what browser are you using?
I'm using IE on a Mac running OS9.1 here at work.

The Links work fine, but I am getting things like the avatar area, the text area(where you read the posts) and everything else to act like a link to the index.
Next time you get that hit the prtscn button and send me a screenshot of it acting up so I can see it.
WTF?...WTF..do i know:laughing

all i can tell ya hit refresh:laughing
Damn Macs need the mouse to get a screen capture, so I can't get it in action. Basically think of i like this.

When you are reading any thread, normally the text that is written is simply displayed. you can copy and paste if if you wanted to, but otherwise it is static.

On my mac here, the area that the text is in acts as a hyperlink. the mouse icon chances to a hand icon like it would over any standard hyperlink button.

All of the buttons and links that are on the page work just fine, but the rest of the screen area is acting like a link to the main index.

Can you picture what I ean? I can't think of how else to describe it. Anyt

Every inch of screen space is acting like a hyperlink.

hhmmm...that's the only web page doing this.

Do you have another computer by any chance. What I am trying to figure out is if this is strickly a problem with the Mac? Or do you have a different browser in that thing by any chance? I have a feeling it has to do with some of the code I chaned over the weekend. It seems to work fine with just about every browser out there but there must be something screwing with your Mac setup. By any chance can youview the code from the page? And if so can you paste it to a notepad document and send it to me? I wanna see whats changing. [email protected]
OK, its a fluke between IE and MAC, Netscape works just fine. I'll email you the code @ lunch when I can get away with looking like I am on for a while.

OK,
So, no problem here at home. It's got to be a Mac OS 9.1 IE fluke. I'll look into it again tomorrow!

OKOKOK so I don't use Mac 24/7 but here is the screen shot
See the hand icon over the text of Ernies post? That is acting linke a hyperlink to the main index page. Hell, EVERYTHING is acting like a hhyperlink, unless it is all ready a link/button.

Do you guys understand what I am explaining?

I don't think Ken/Tony can do anything about that. It's not a board problem. It's a problem local with your setup. IE 5.1.5 just came out. Try upgrading to that (snag it off of versiontracker.com or the MS site directly) and see if your problem goes away.
Yup, I get what your saying is happening. Although I have no clue why your stuff is acting like that. It's most likly something in my code that is tripping your Browser to do that. But I have no clue what part it could be. Does it do it on SBN or any onther Vbulleting power BB's?
ok I retract that earlier statement. I see the same thing on my mac now too :confused
