So, I bought a trailer little over week ago. Everything has been peachy, than tonight, while working on it, i noticed all the lights would turn off at random intervals after connecting it to the truck. The time ranged from 4 seconds to almost 2 minutes. WTF? Any ideas?
Trailer lights go off randomly...

Along the same lines, I have a tow package from the manufacture on my Durango. I haven't had any problems with lights as of yet. I have a 7 pin connector. My new trailer is a 6 pin so I use a converter.
1) does the ground go through the 6 pin and/or through the ball of the hitch?
2) do I need to add anything to a 7 pin in order to have trailer brakes (on a different 2 axle trailer - mine is a single).
