Well, no real surprise here. Suzuki updated their website to reflect the SV1000 and SV1000S, but the link below goes into better detail with cooler pictures. SV650 gets similar style upgrades, but the 'S' model doesn't have the bellypan. Dig the orange/copper color, fuel injection, and style upgrades, but my first impressions of the LED tail lights aren't good. Looks too weird, but it might grow on me :D

Noticably absent from the Suzuki webpage was their perenial beginner scoot, the GS500E.

dId they make significant changes to the TL to arrive at this bike engine wise? I don't know much about TLs but I always wanted a green '97 S model.

good choice, the '97s made the most power. The SV1000 motor is TL derived, but I'm not sure at this point how far off it is. I bet it is tuned down from its TLR or even TLS level of performance.
