yes yes yes. You'll spend a couple hundred to jet and then have to spend a couple hundred more after you get the exaust.
Well, if you are paying someone to jet and tune the bike, I would wait until you put the pipe on. Chance are you will have to rejet once you put the new pipe on.

You can jet w/ the stock exhaust because the run lean from the factory to pass emissions. So, it's up to you. IMO, I would wait until you put the new pipe on.

Doc
wait...its alot of pain in the booty for doing it all over again when ya pipe it;)
Just order the pipe now and jet it all at once. why wait.:D

Understood Doc. Cause since I'm usually full of shit as I've been told I'd be a rich man.:D
Don't jet it until you get the pipe. Your bike won't run as well as it does now, I'd bet. Jetting it for the new pipe means bringing in more fuel. With the stock pipe, your bike doesn't want more fuel.

For the R6, Ivans performance products has a really good jet kit. Easy to install too. With basic mechanical skill, you can easily get the bike running great yourself.
Yeah, I've heard great things about Ivan's needles. The nice thing is, he gives you the specs. on fuel mixture screw turns and clip height. Also, you can give him a call and talk to him in person. I hear he is a great guy to talk with and he has a wealth of knowledge.

I know Ivan personally and have been dealing with him for a few years now. He is truly one of the best guys in the M/C business. He tells you like it is, but never sells you something you don't need. He's always willing to help guys who are interested in, or who are running his jet kits. I doubt the service from Factory or DynoJet is anywhere near this level.
that's what i have an ivan's jet kit. just waiting to have enough money for the pipe. im getting the service manual soon too. but what exhaust to get. i know i posted this question before and it goes between akro and hindle. but i dont know if hindle will work properly w/ the kit. alot of people recommend akro, but is there anyone that has the ivans and hindle combo?:confused
You could make a post under the Tech forum on www.r6messagenet.com The question has been posed before about Hindle & Ivan's needles, but the search function on the site isn't working right now.

I was told my set up is similar to the results of ivan's needles only it was cheaper. I used a dynojet kit, emulsion tube shrouds, +4 ign. advancer, and a full Hindle exhaust. You might want to talk to Jim from 4&6 or like I said before...PM DJS and ask him what he did to his bike.

BTW- You're welcome to test ride mine as long as I keep yours if you wreck it :D

Whats a jet?

I think he means those things I travel in to get to different cities for work.
I'm sorry boys, but there's nothing like digging your hands into the carbs of a bike. Sure, this will be obsolete in the near future, but plugging my bike into a computer isn't my idea of working on a bike. Of course, some day I will have to conform to this method of mechanics. That just means I have to spend some major $$ on a pcIII and a laptop if I want to do something myself.

Until then, I will happily take my carbs :D

Okay, I don't know what to think of you...one thread is talking about you being a Polish squid and now you're coming off like you're Amish. I feel like I don't even know you:confused

:D :twofinger :rofl

Doc
We "could" have settled this at Grattan, but you are too chicken to make it out there. :D
