A guy on the R1-forum made my frame, swingarm, and bar end sliders. I like the way they look. $71 for all of them shipped. Not to shabby. I can give you his info if interested.
spree check with champ91 he made some for Jeff w/ a J and jeff so kindly crash tested them and they flat work, no plastic damage what so ever.:helmet
Yeah, maybe Pete can hook us all up with a pair. I need new ones because I did crash test mine:D

Doc
homemade sliders...

jim - last i spoke to champ91/pete, he needed to know the dimensions of the frame sliders for the R6. since i don't currently own a pair of them, i didn't have a clue what info to give him.

he was nice enough to offer to make them, as long as i had dimensions.

doc - are your sliders trashed that bad? if you're going to remove them i can take some measurements and pass them onto champ91.
I will try to get the proper dimensions and post them. I might not be able to use the barend sliders. So, they might be for sale ;) Also, I wouldn't recommend the swingarm sliders. I had them and they stick out quite a bit. I was worried that they would touch down in a turn and possible unsettle the rear. When I went down on Sat., the swingarm never even touched. Although, if you go down on the left side, it probably would. It's your call, but I don't have them any more.

Doc
Spree im pretty sure he has them now because jeff had him on his bike for this weekend.
Champs' sliders are THE GOODS....saved me big$$$$$$

Lupi took a few pic's, maybe he could post 'em.

Champ should be all set to take your orders!

Yup, Champ should be able to make them now. He has all the dimensions and info he needs, thanks to Mr. Jeff.

I took the pics on Pete's digi so he'll have to get them posted. I know he pretty much went to bed last night (damn I didn't get home till 11 after taking the camper back north) so maybe he can post pics tonight!

Ciao,
Lupi
thanks

thanks for the help fellas.
i'll have to ask champ91 nicely. :D

Kruz and Lupi have a pair each on their F4's. Like wise, Kruz decided to test 'em out too. Thanks to you as well bud. Vcook has a pair for his GSXR 600. Ya dont need to test 'em Chris I know they work.:D

post crash on the R6.
When you adding the SVs? :D I read on SBN that they tend to save the bodywork, especially on low speed cornering 'boo-boos'.
No, I don't plan on testing them.

Chris

If you guys are looking for some premium frame sliders, check these out. They are called MOKOs and are made in Germany. I bought them for my R1 and they were about $160 shipped. The guy I bought them from was a great person to deal with, and I'd highly recommend him.

For those who question the integrity of the sliders, we've had a few guys crash them on the R1 board and they held up very well.

Here's some info in them:

$160 for sliders? (they must be made of GOLD and Diamonds) or $40 for ones that have proven to work. HMMMMMMMMMM............which would I buy?

I would hope they work well for THAT price!!!!!!!!
Nope, no gold or diamonds, just some delrin and billet aluminum bases designed so the bolts don't bend over or break off in the event of a hard impact. You have to see them in person to appreciate them, I guess. They aren't for everyone.
