I have a ninja 650r that has been totaled due to forks (i bought it prior to my 650r being stolen for a parts bike) I dont want to do forks and drive a rebuilt bike so I am deciding to make a project. If any one has info on what bikes i can swap parts into that would be great, alo does any one know if i could swap the motor into a 90's zx6 or 80's kz? Thanks alot

You can swap an engine into any frame you desire as long as there's room and the frame in question is strong enough to handle the weight and power. Once it's determined you have the room needed to install the engine into a specific frame you will need to determine the geometry needed to have the engine in the best position for handling and center of gravity. Form that point it's just a matter of fabricating mounts and figuring out the plumbing of hoses and cables etc. for ignition, carburetion (fuel injection), cooling and other controls.
A good mechanical background and at least rudimentary skills with machining tools and at the very least a MIG welder (preferrably TIG) would be the minimum skill set to get you through the project. You can learn as you go but be prepared to pay someone for the skills you don't have.
Good luck.

Your only real economical approach would be to put a front end on the bike.

Here is one assume project idea.

Find a HIGH END front end. like maybe late model liter sport bike.

Mount it. clamps and all

I can help.
I'll remove the stock stem and install it into the late model clamps.

Not cheep but cool as hell.
