Got a chance to try out the new laptimer wedsday @ grattan.

This thing rocks!:evil The "defect" is minor, and it works great. I'm very pleased with the deal we got! I missed two laps all day, but I think that was due to the (mychron)beacon running a weak battery. A couple of the guys running mychrons were not getting times at all. The numbers are nice and big, the unit is easy as pie to setup and use(even includes a useful english manual unlike the mychron).

Worked pretty well...well except for dozen red flags (Ken) where we never passed the beacon.

I really like the fastest lap feature. I really didn't use it much because when you are doing 150+???mph down the straight it's a little scary to look down at the timer or the speedo. The last session I knew I had a good time going when I looked down and saw 3:01 in a high trafiic lap. I pushed it hard the final lap and coming out of the last turn I was at 2:50. I pulled into the pit exit so I couldn't hit the beacon. I estimate sure I would have hit the beacon around 2:55.

i sure didnt see none of you when the 2 sessons i lined up first and me and the lead control rider was hauling ass so much we were playing with each other...both sessons we look back and NO ONE was even in site...OH LET ME GUESS....red flag?

I'll be the first too admit I was taking it easy with all the red flags and rain. I didn't have a sub 3:00 time until the last session.
