that last batch of photos are stock worthy! You're improving for sure.

Thanks. Gotta work on learning more about HDR. that photo is not perfect. Some issues on the leaves but I think that's in part cause it was pretty windy and no tripod.

I got tons more. Kinda want to get a powerful laptop to run photoshop (cs5 or 6) not sure what I got. I could do a lot of going through my photos after work on the road but I've had a lot of recent big bills to pay.

But I am enjoying myself with it and learning bits as I go along.

Thanks.

just wanted to share this shot. although it isn't perfect to me (a lot of things)
the amount of time i took to watch him fly around for days and where he mostly landed, the extent i took to get to one of the spots he landed at. armed with my little 10-200 DX 3.5-5.6 on a cloudy day, windy as shit, and this thing had a wing span of maybe 5 feet and even sitting there he was BIG!

for a bit i felt like he was going to come get me:jester

decent shot, but more of a story behind it. cant wait till i get to use my 70-200 2.8 lens when i see a shot like this next time.

Well done! Great eye!

Oh, that's the 70-200 2.8. Just outta the d7000 16MP
Taken at 200mm at 7 feet @F6 I think it was. DOF is just less then a inch.
At 2.8 it's less the 2mm. The AF is pretty dead on which was what I was testing after doing the Lens align. Yesterday tool the kids to the Sled hill and was snapping in continuous mode. Only maybe 6 outta 200 was out of focus. (Continuous auto focus failures) not a bad % though.

I have tons of better high res/sharper picture.

This was just to see if I can get that 30mp file size still looking good down sized and web version 1MB or smaller how it would hold up viewing wise.

Looks pretty decent.
