I tell you guys what. If you want the best of the dirtbiking world and the road racing/track day world come out and ride on the ice this winter. I will personally pass my KX250 set for the ice around to anyone who wants to give it a shot. I will be your pusher. You will be amazed how much traction you get and how much fun it is. Ice tires cost 400 bucks from Jeff Fredette and well worth it. How much does a set of good Road Race rubber cost? 350 bucks? Well they only last a weekend rite? A set of ice tires will last forever if you take care of them. If you think you get cold, you're wrong. With the proper gear on and then you get out pushing the bike around you find yourself hot when it's 20 degrees outside.

Like I said, I will openly let anyone ride the KX250 on the ice if they want to give it a try.

I didnt fuck up his trans, I did another 10 laps and a trail ride after that crash and he rode the trils ofter that, I suspect it might be from his clod hoppers kicking the shit out of it, and now it's stuck in gear. Either way I'm pulling it apart to see whats wrong with it. Once I get the bikes out of the trailer, I got lazy yesterday :laughing

Motoland would probably kick most of our ass's, I prefer to rip through the trails and do some flat trackin in the cornfields at high speed. motocross tracks break limbs

meh...MX is highly overated. I like the steep technical trail riding best.
I'm liking the flat tracking the best. Something about stomping the rear brake, throwing the rear completely out of line, then pinnin the throttle and flying through a corner just makes me all tingly in my pants :D

Then my friend, you want to hit Casey, IL - Lincoln trail.

Thats far, have to make a weekend out of a trip like that

Yeah, I guarantee you will have a blast there. One of my favorite places to go ride. Trust me it's worth the trip.

You can camp there (hardcore style) or stay at a nice hotel with a pool a few miles away.

They have a flat track area where you can rip around doing some highspeed stuff. They have nice woods trails and a real nice MX track.

Nah, MX tracks are totally safe! Just ask Cwreck. :jester

Seriously, MX tracks aren't too bad. I've been on them and fallen quite a bit, including some pretty high-speed over the handlebars action attempting to land my first triple. I'd opt for an MX fall over a road course fall 9 times out of 10.

Its totally a matter of personal preference, but I love MX and dislike most trail riding, particularly technical stuff. I love the speed, railing on a berm, and launching (what feels like) way up in the air, which I just can't get on the trails.

I can't wait to check out Motoland.

And Grasshopper is indeed an evil pusher. Y'all NEED to try ice riding. It's kinda like supermoto on ice. Every time we rode, it was FREE. A buncha people just get together and plow a course on the lake and its go time. If the ice get too chewed or its just time for a change, we plow a new one. The level of grip is amazing, as you can see.

Road Trip! When are we going?
Well I'm working on amassing parts right now to build a backup bike to keep in the trailer, I'm not going that far to ride without an extra bike in case mine breaks down. I don't want to be sitting around with my thumb up my ass, as much as I enjoy that sensation :laughing

it will be ready by spring

Rob, you are such a little sissy. I can't wait to smoke you on the ice and at Jennings. If it gets good and cold around here, it's going to be awesome road racing one weekend in Florida and then coming back and riding the ice.

Who said off season? What the fuck is an off season? LOL!!!
