No more space...

This laptop just said that I am out of space. It is running Win Vista. Why does it have the hard drive split into two drives? C and D. Can't I make D smaller to give C more space or something? It gives me an option to compress the C drive to gain space but it says that this will slow down searches and such. Is it worth it?

Try cleaning all the crap out of it and stop saving everything. system restores, porn you dont need, etc etc

try using a external hard drive to save your work or what ever

the d partition depending on the computer might be the recovery part of it.

how big are each of your partitions?

If you have a lot of space on the D partition, move shit over there.

You can't resize your partitions w/o wiping the drive and starting over or using a 3rd party software. Generally it causes issues if you are trying to mess with the partition the OpSys is on.

Partition Magic and Partition Commander let you... along with several others...

If D is a recovery partition, there's probably not anything extra it can give up anyway.
